I don’t know if you’re like me, but after getting tired of spending way more money than I should at the spa or on expensive skincare stuff, I started looking into my own beauty products to make at home. The idea came from one of my friends who was looking for some natural recipes for lip balm. I sent over a couple of my favorite sites that have home made remedies like that, and then started searching around for other simple tutorials and how tos for anti aging remedies and makeup. At first it was just facial stuff, like the apple pear anti wrinkle cream (#5), but then I started finding uses for just about everything I had in the kitchen. Extra coffee grounds? How about a coffee scrub for clearing up acne. I had no idea coconut was such a strong cleanser, but with a couple extra ingredients like fruit or olive oil you can make a crazy good scalp treatment (#11).
Whether you’re it’s organic skin care remedies or avocado and carrot cream mask for getting rid of wrinkles (without having to go to the salon and spend a couple hundred bucks), these surprisingly simple and easy tutorials for beauty products to make at home will really blow you away. And don’t worry, it’s not just one or two good ideas. I’ve scoured the web for the best ones, like homemade moisturizing body scrub (#12), a clay and lavender cuticle cream (#27), a hand scrub just for gardeners looking to clean up (#36), and a cucumber mint sugar scrub (#18). My favorites right now are all the amazingly easy facial tutorials that I’ve found that don’t cost a ton, in fact they’re downright cheap! If you’re feeling a little adventurous, I’ve also got an activated charcoal mask and a homemade body butter recipe to try out. Just check out these step by step tutorials and see what works for you.
